Update on former gasworks site, Wharf Lane. Work to complete the new underground module should be completed by Christmas. The second stage of the work starts on Jan.18th. The old pressure reduction station will be dismantled. This is expected to be completed by the spring. Today is Human Rights Day . December 10th The anniversary of the day the UN adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. It was incorporated into UK law by the Human Rights Act. It is ironic that in the very year we have been celebrating the sealing of Magna Carta the Human Rights legacy has come under attack. We must be vigilant.
