Calling All Pensioners . On Friday 20th February the Pensioners Forum meets again, 2.00 - 4.00pm at Three Rivers House. The formal agenda this time includes short talks from the CAB on issues of importance and relevance to pensioners, Friends of Watersmeet, Hertfordshire Health Walks and the Environment Agency. There will also be a Question and Answer session. Do come along, have your say and find out what is going on. We have received several phone calls about the tree felling on the grass area in Eastwick Crescent. It has been carried out by the land owners, Bilton Estates - who originally built all the homes there - not by TRDC or Herts CC. The contractors told local residents that they were about to start building there. That may be their plan - but they will need planning permission and there has not been an application yet. Building a Pensions System Workers Can Save Into - With Confidence

Liberal Democrat Pensions Minister Steve Webb has announced a cap on charges for people automatically enrolled into a workplace pension. From April, workers enrolled into a workplace pension will see their charges capped at 0.75 per cent unless they have opted into a more expensive option.

UK On Track to be the Fastest Growing G7 Economy

Newly released GDP figures shows that Britain's economy is growing. Quarterly growth of 0.5 per cent puts the UK in pole position to be the fastest growing economy in 2015. Liberal Democrats have anchored economic policy in the centre ground.
