Litter Picking Party : anyone who walks to the Aquadrome from the Moneyhill entrance will have noticed the recent improvements in the path down to the bridge. Phil, our splendid Barrow Beat man, cleared it up a couple of weeks ago and some residents have offered to carry the good work on a bit further. If you are willing to help, meet at the bridge just below the Moneyhill entrance to the Aquadrome at 2.30pm on Sunday 29th March - bags/equipment provided.

Tuesday 24th March is the next meeting of the Rickmansworth Local Area Forum at Three Rivers House. All Rickmansworth residents are welcome. There will be a community safety update from the Police, a short talk from the local Fire Service and a senior TRDC planning officer to give an update on development and planning in Rickmansworth. There will be an opportunity to raise other local issues.

A TRDC resident has been fined £2,800 by the Court for dumping cracked asbestos cement sheeting. He had to pay TRDC nearly £2000 compensation for the cost of removal and disposal of the asbestos, a £400 fine and £500 costs. Residents can report dumping of asbestos, or any other kind of flytipping to TRDC in complete confidence and action will be taken. Contact TRDC on 776611 or enquiries@threerivers.gov.uk

The Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) is a team of police officers who specialise in rural, wildlife, environmental, heritage crime and traveller liaison issues.

They investigate a variety of crimes which can include badger baiting, hare coursing, night hawking and the theft of metal/materials from historical buildings. rost@herts.pnn.police.uk

The next Artistsmeet Exhibition at Watersmeet will be a celebration of work created by local young people. 26th March- 28th April : Rickmansworth School will display a varied collection of students art work, 16- 28th April an additional selection of work will be displayed as part of the Youth Arts Programme.

Artistsmeet at Watersmeet New Exhibition from Wednesday 21 January - Tuesday 24 March, by artist and previous Open Exhibition participant Imogen Perkin, who will be displaying a beautiful collection of paintings as part of 'Places of Transition' in the gallery.

No entrance fee and drinks are at club prices. In exchange for the facilities they entertain members of the Club at summer events each year and participate in other local events.

Three Rivers Museum in Basing House next to the library, have three new displays. - 1) "The-Send Off". 1914 --1915. A display depicting rural, domestic life in the early years of WW1. - 2) "Egg farm to wind farm" with information from RES - 3) Maple Lodge Nature Reserve. Photos and information about this "hidden gem" past Mill End and near Maple Cross off the Uxbridge Road. Museum open Mon to Fri 2-4pm, Sat 10am to 4pm. Free. Support you local museum.

Art Exhibition by local artists in TRDC Council Offices. The artist exhibiting work in the reception area next to the stairs (in the foyer) of Three Rivers House from Tuesday 3 March is Barbara Burrows exhibiting an eclectic mix of her current paintings.

Rickmansworth and District Art Society meet in the Cloisters Hall on the first Thursday of the month.

Croxley Camera Club is the photographic society for Three Rivers district and is known as the friendly club. They have a range of photographic interests and skills within the club with photographic advice available from specialists in many genres including nature, landscape, studio and other areas. They meet every Thursday between September and May in the Croxley Green Community Centre at 7:30 for a 7:45 start.
