Below are Watford's Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill and DBC councillor Nick Hollinghurst at West Herts Lib Dems' recent AGM in Kings Langley. With the General Election and the Borough Council Elections both on May 7th, 2015, Liberal Democrats in both Watford and Dacorum are looking forward with high hopes.

Last year Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill, was re-elected as Mayor with a large majority and the Liberal Democrats hold 24 of the 37 seats on Watford Borough Council. Labour hold 11 and the Greens and the Conservatives hold just one each.

On May 7th the Liberal Democrats look set to remove the last Conservative from Watford Borough Council and to gain the parliamentary seat to send Dorothy Thornhill to Westminster.

Meanwhile in Dacorum the Liberal Democrats, currently holding 7 seats, are confident of retaining these and moving up into double figures.

So Good Luck, Watford and Dacorum Lib Dems - and a Happy New Year to everyone!
