Why is dangerous air-quality, identified in 2012, just being tolerated in London Road, Apsley, in 2020?

Eight years after air-quality in Apsley was recognised as harmful, Conservative Councillors at both Dacorum and Hertfordshire have failed to clean this up.

After 5 years of supposed "action", in London Road the highest mean measure was down only marginally from 57.3 to 56, still over one-third higher than the "acceptable" measure.

In comparison, in Northchurch a greater reduction was achieved, from 47.3 to 43, and in Lawn Lane from 62 to 56, but there has been hardly any progress at all in London Road!

The first AQAP recommended twenty measures for implementation, which are aimed at reducing levels of air pollution within the three AQMAs and improving air quality across the borough in general. Now we are in 2020 and, of the 20 shortlisted measures, 8 have just been dropped from the updated report!
