Saturday 21st - Tring WI Christmas Bazaar - 10am-12 noon at the Victoria Hall, Akeman Street. Entry 20p. Stalls will include crafts, books, jewellery, cakes, preserves, cards and much more. Raffle for charity. Refreshments available.

Sunday 22nd - Tring Park School for the Performing Arts - "Christmas Fair" - free entry to this 'bigger than ever!' Christmas Fair - a wide variety of stalls selling Christmas gifts, decorations, and locally-sourced products. 2pm - 5.30pm.

Friday 27th - Tring Christmas Festival! in Tring Town Centre and the Victoria Hall. 6.30pm - 9.30pm. Late Night Christmas Shopping, free live music and entertainment all evening, Christmas Market and charity stalls, food and drink, funfair, Father and Mrs Christmas in the Victoria Hall, and a warm welcome in the High Street churches.

Saturday 28th (2pm and 7.30pm) and Sunday 29th (2pm) - The Performance Foundation Course at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts presents "Smokey Joe's Cafe" - the songs of Lieber and Stoller - at the Markova Theatre, Tring Park School (HP23 5LX). Tickets £12 and £10 (concessions) - book online at boxoffice or telephone 01442 821516.

Sunday 29th - Advent Carol Service in St Martha's Methodist Church - at 6pm - led by the Rev Brian Tebbutt.The service will include arias by Handel, Bach and Mozart sung by Alastair Merry and Melanie Lodge, both local young professional soloists who sing with the English National Opera and other choral groups in London, including the Temple Church. A small choir conducted by Chris Dalladay will sing and there will be readings and Advent hymns for the congregation to join in.
