“Last week people here sent a clear message to the Conservative party. The community is sick of being ignored and taken for granted.
“For too long Bim Afolami, Gagan Mohindra and their Conservative Government have taken our community for granted. Across many parts of the country it is the Liberal Democrats who are best placed to replace them and serve their constituents at the next general election.
“The big message I heard on the doorsteps was that Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives have failed our local health services, hiked our taxes, pumped sewage into our rivers, sold out our farmers, left our education system worse off for too long. People can see for themselves that thirteen years of Conservative government have left the country divided and exhausted. It's time for a change."
