New Mill Roundabout Fixed
This damage is now fixed

The replacement of those concrete block paviors in the centre of New Mill Roundabout has been a great success.

However the tarmac of the carriageway and the central section of paviors was demarcated by a ring of kerbstones.

These were left in when the paviors were replaced with heavy duty tarmac.

The roundabout gets a lot of wear from slowly turning heavy lorries visiting the mill and though the new tarmac has been able to stand up to the pressure, four of the kerbstones worked loose and broke at the end of the summer - as you can see in the pic.

These have now been replaced with tarmac patches but I think we all need to keep an eye on the roundabout in case it happens again.
