There was a lot of thought that went into the Tring Market move.

There were at least two surveys, consultation with the traders and with the public. There were legal issues to take into consideration. Road safety had to be taken into account, provision of services, adequate parking and allowance made for the continuance of the bus services. Finally there was the need to sek permission from the Lord of the Manor.

Last November the Liberal Democrat led Town Council decided to ask the Town Clerk to start making the necessary preparations. Finally, in February the decision was taken and the move was eventually achieved in May.

All the anxiety dissolved after the first week, and now with everyone more relaxed the Friday Market is doing better every week.

But remember, the continuation of the Friday Market does require your continued support.

See you there again next week!
