Traffic Disruption - A5183 Dunstable Road, Redbourn - 3 weeks from July 26th

Morrison Utility Services (on Behalf of UK Power Networks) are due to commence Major High Voltage Cable Installation works along the A5183 Dunstable Road as part of their ongoing investment to maintain and improve the electricity power network.

In order to create a safe working environment for the workforce and the public, the main part of the scheme between The Wildings on Dunstable Road to the junction of Harpenden Lane (No Entry Slip Road) will be completed using 2 Way Temporary Traffic Signals. The signals will in operation 24 Hours and manually operated throughout the day to mitigate delays.

The works are due to start on Tuesday 26th July and are programmed to take approximately 21 Days to complete, weather permitting.

The Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be deployed in the local and surrounding area to warn motorists travelling through this area. In addition to this, the work will be carried out in sections of no more than 30 meters and access will be maintained for Residents/Businesses for the duration of the scheme.
