"Thank you, Tring" as Nick Hollinghurst is Re-Elected to Hertfordshire County Council

"Thank you, Tring," said Nick Hollinghurst on being re-elected to Hertfordshire County Council to represent the Tring Division.

"It is a privilege and a pleasure to represent Tring and the surrounding villages," he added. "This is a beautiful area of the Chiltern Hills and it is noted for its strong community spirit and the friendliness of the people. I look forward to serving again for another four years."

The results were:

Mark Anderson - UKIP; 207 3.9% (-14.5%)

Olive Conway - Conservative; 1,820 34.6% (+10.4%)

Nick Hollinghurst - Liberal Democrat; 2,617 49.8% (+ 0.3%)

Charlotte Pardy - Green; 256 4.9% (+ 4.9%)

Colin Phillips - Labour; 360 6.8% (- 1.1%)

Turnout 43.3% Spoilt Papers 10

The Liberal Democrat Group has now increased from 16 to 18 and the Liberal Democrats remain as the Official Opposition on the County Council.

On Saturday, Nick attended a preliminary meeting at County Hall to pick up documents and to meet new colleagues. For the moment councillors do not yet know which committees or working groups they will be serving on.
