Steve Coogan, visits Harpenden & Berkhamsted to urge people to vote Lib Dem tactically
Steve Coogan is a traditional Labour voter, who is urging people in Hertfordshire to tactically vote Lib Dem in Harpenden & Berkhamsted to get the Conservatives out. This is in line with leading tactical voting websites which also recommend voting Lib Dem on 4th July in key seats in Hertfordshire.
While in Hertfordshire, Steve Coogan took the opportunity to visit the River Ver, a precious chalk stream that has been plagued by over 1000 hours of non-stop sewage dumping under the Conservative Government. Steve has been a passionate campaigner against the pollution of our waterways and the local Lib Dems have been fighting to stop sewage pollution. The Lib Dem manifesto pledges to award chalk streams, like the River Ver, 'Blue Flag' status in a bid to protect them from sewage dumping.
Victoria Collins, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Harpenden & Berkhamsted said:
“So many local people are tired of being taken for granted and sewage being dumped into our chalk streams. After years of neglect from this Conservative government, local people are looking for a hard-working local MP to stand up for the issues that matter.
Harpenden & Berkhamsted is a two-horse race between the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives. It’s great to have Steve Coogan’s endorsement of our efforts to bring about a positive change. ”
