Check our events page on http://www.wendoverarmtrust.co.uk/events.html. The Trust is dedicated to restoring the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal which was opened in 1797 to bring water from springs in Wendover to feed the Tring summit of the Grand Union at Bulbourne, the north - south motorway of its day. Unfortunately the canal leaked in its early days and a mile and a half was eventually drained, and water diverted through an eighteen inch pipe which is still in use. The present work aims to fully re-line this section and thereby re-open it to navigation after over 100 years of closure.
