Crossing at London Road, Tring, Improved

Dacorum's Clean, Safe and Green Team have now trimmed the hedge along London Road, Tring and cut it back to a safe height at the approach to the crossing at the end of Pound Meadow.

Many thanks to the team for getting this done - it really has increased safety and visibility a great deal.

Although I haven't noticed much of a change to traffic speeds, the young people do seem to be being more careful. The car drivers can now see them more clearly - but they can now see the cars approaching them.

Still to come:
(a) hedge cutting at the Station Road end of the Meadow
(b) parking restrictions to improve visibility where the footpath crosses Station Road
(c) a Smily/Sad Speed Sign on London Road (d) a zebra crossing on London Road if highways officers find traffic and pedestrian counts meet the criteria (I expect they will and I am urging that this gets built)
(e) second zebra on Station Road likewise.
