BeNCH is a Community Rehabilitation Company working in Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. At anyone time the Community Payback unit is working with around 2,700 people sentenced to unpaid work by the courts. Each year they complete thousands of hours of work that would not otherwise be carried out. Work is done on a variety of projects including ground maintenance and graffiti removal to decorating and work for charities. Nominations for work are received from the public, businesses, voluntary organisations that need help with tasks such as painting, gardening, cleaning and restoration work.

Unpaid work not only gives people the opportunity to pay back for crimes committed , it also gives offenders a routine, the opportunity to learn valuable new skills and work as part of a team. To nominate a project for the Community Payback Teams visit www.benchcrc.org.uk
