The Green Flag award is the national high standard for parks and open spaces. Last week TRDC hosted a celebration of 20 years of Green Flag awards and the presentation to Hertfordshire Green Flag winners. Three Rivers has 3 Green Flag awards , the Aquadrome Local Nature Reserve, Chorleywood House Local Nature Reserve and Leavesden Country Park - all in top scoring bands. Appetite fades for opening new shops on the high street. For the 7th year running there has been a decrease in the number of applications to build new shops. During the same period there has been a decrease in the footfall in high streets but a rise in digital transactions

We were amused to hear about the bride who surprised her groom, a bin man, by turning up at their wedding in a dust cart. This was organised for her by his colleagues . (It was not at TRDC)
