The Reach Free School planning application has now been submitted . It has not yet been validated so it is not yet available for public access.

We have been pressing HS2 for some time to have an open day event here to inform local residents about the plans, etc. Although the main impact of the construction will be on West Hyde and Maple Cross the whole Rickmansworth area will be significantly affected. HS2 has decided to hold the event in the middle of August. When TRDC pointed out that holiday time would rule out a large number of people HS2 agreed to hold a second day in September. The dates are Thursday 11th August 2.00-8.00pm, and Saturday 17th September 11.00am-3.00pm at Maple Cross Community Centre, on the corner of Hornhill / Longcroft Rds. This an opportunity to find out more about the project, talk to experts about the environmental impact, engineering, construction, property, etc, to see maps and plans and ask questions. Do Come Along.

We are often asked who is responsible for maintenance and protection of the canal and towpaths. If you want to raise an issue/ problem with the Canal and River Trust ( this is the national organisation not the local Rickmansworth Waterways Trust) contact 9303 940 4040, or go to enquiries.southeast@canalRiverTrust.org.uk Ask for the South East Team if the matter is in Rickmansworth or north of Rickmansworth or the London Team if south of Rickmansworth.
