Thank you to all those who responded to our question about local post boxes. This confirms that most local post boxes are only being collected once a day, usually by 9.30am. The last collection time for local post offices is about 5.00pm, and the only later collections are from sorting offices. The Post Office claims to have put notification on the boxes but no one mentioned seeing it !

The week before last, Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) held a Local Business Forum for local businesses and organisations. It was a successful event, the attendance was excellent and most people expressed support for regular meetings. TRDC encourages competition and sustainability in all areas of the local economy, actively promotes the area, offers businesses support and facilitates local employment growth and opportunities.

Have you ever been to the Cafe@Lock81? Do visit it. Claire and Warren have taken over running the café and have worked hard to transform the site including customer seating, the cabin and attractive planting. The whole Batchworth Lock area is looking very smart now after many hours of RWT volunteers painting, repairing, refurbishing, see the video https://youtu.be/FewTNrBBLNc. It is clean, safe and welcoming. On August the 31st there will be another open weekend at Batchworth Lock - do put it in your diary. Learning At the Lock has welcomed 580 children through the programme since February this year. Well Done Rickmansworth Waterways Trust and all the volunteers.
