There will also be a Question and Answer session. Do come along, have your say and find out what is going on. We have received several phone calls about the tree felling on the grass area in Eastwick Crescent. It has been carried out by the land owners, Bilton Estates - who originally built all the homes there - not by TRDC or Herts CC. The contractors told local residents that they were about to start building there. That may be their plan - but they will need planning permission and there has not been an application yet. We will make sure residents are informed if an application is submitted.

TRDC recently formally confirmed its commitment to combating climate change by signing the Local Government Association Climate Local Agreement. Among our achievements have been the insulation of local homes, investing in renewable energy including installing the ground source heat pump under the Rose Garden which provides both heating and cooling to Three Rivers House and continuing to reduce our energy use. TRDC has an important role as a community leader to help and inform residents and businesses how to take the opportunities and benefits of action on climate change. It s also has responsibilities as a service provider and estate manager.

……………………………

I Spy - a water vole was recently spotted near the River Gade in Croxley, the first water vole to be seen anywhere along the Gade for many years.

……………………………………………….

Some of us have been concerned about the state of some of the trees along Riverside Drive. TRDC had a specialist survey done some while ago, implemented the recommendations and felled a considerable number of mature trees. However, this time we were advised that the remaining trees, even those that looked a bit strange, were not unsafe and do not need felling.
