The Autumn Statement has confirmed that from April 2015, millions of workers on low and middle incomes will receive a further tax cut of £120.

Liberal Democrats are the party of fair tax. By the end of this parliament we will have delivered an £825 tax cut for millions of workers.

Cutting income tax by £700 - by raising the tax-free allowance to £10,000 - was the top priority on the front page of the Liberal Democrat 2010 manifesto - something which David Cameron said was not affordable.

As of next April millions of workers will receive a tax cut of £825 when the personal tax allowance increases to £10,600.

This further cut in income tax would not be happening without Liberal Democrats in government.

Liberal Democrat policy is to continue is to increase the threshold in the next Parliament to £12,500.
