Lib Dems Hold Successful Action Day in Cambridge
March 30th, 2012
At the beginning of the month the Liberal Democrats held a well-attended Action Day to support candidates in the Cambridge local elections. Based on the Village Hall in Trumpington, workers, activists, and even a couple of MPs, fanned out across south Cambridge and the surrounding villages.
It was a great success, with new supporters and leafletters coming forward, new members joining up and favourable responses on the doorsteps.
Tring fielded three people for the event, who were well rewarded with tasty soup at the (brief) lunchbreak and even better stew and rice at a local councillor's house in the evening. Morale and enthusiasm were high, old friends met and new ones made.
A long and tiring day - but most enjoyable and well worth it! That's the way to do it!
