Lib Dems Gain a Seat - and a Council

Alex Michaels has won the Gade Valley by-election (Hunton Bridge and areas near Kings Langley) taking the seat from the Conservatives.

As a result Three Rivers Council has been gained by the Liberal Democrats. Previously the council which covers Abbots Langley, Chorleywood, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth and South Oxhey had no party with a majority (Lib Dems were short by one).

The results

  1. Lib Dem 626 60.9% (Alex Michaels)
  2. Con 196 19.1%
  3. Lab 119 11.6%
  4. UKIP 69 6.7%
  5. Grn 18 1.7%
