Dacorum Borough Council is installing recycling facilities to flats that had previously had none at all, after Lib Dem Councillors repeatedly raised the issue of recycling in the Borough.

In November Bennetts End, Apsley & Cornerhall, Kings Langley and Nash Mills get their bins, and from December flats in Highfield and Adeyfield are due to be fitted out, including Longlands, Summerleas Court, Knightsbridge Way and White Hart Road.

Hemel Liberal Democrat Councillor's Adrian England and Ron Tindall in Adeyfield, and Brenda Link plus Candidate Sammy Barry in Highfield thanked the Council for listening and making the move to enable residents of these flats to join in with the effort to save the planet.

Adrian England called on the Conservative Portfolio-Holder at The Forum to do the right thing and put recycling capacity for flat-dwellers on a par with houses and to provide dual recycling/litter bins in busy public places like Queen's Square shops in Adeyfield.

Other areas in Hemel will be seeing more recycling provision for flats in December this year, and January/February 2019.
