Residents can still recycle their real Christmas tree at any of Herts County Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres. In Dacorum these are located in Eastman Way in Hemel Hempstead and in Northbridge Road in Berkhamsted. Residents are reminded not to leave their trees at any of the borough's other recycling sites, as this will be treated as fly-tipping.

Christmas card recycling - Christmas cards, wrapping paper, plastic and metal biscuit and sweet tins/containers can be recycled in the blue-lidded bin.

Glittery wrapping paper and Christmas cards with glitter or 3D decorations cannot be recycled. Please reuse them (by creating gift tags for next year, for example) or dispose of these in your grey wheeled bin.

You can also recycle Christmas cards and greeting cards all year round at the Household Waste Recycling Centres.

For more information on recycling visit www.dacorum.gov.uk/recyclingor call 01442 228000 and ask for Waste Services.
