Several residents have asked County Councillor Ron Tindall to look at making the crossing of St Ablans Road safer and easier for people who can't easily manage to climb the footbridge over the road.

In response to requests from Ron the County Council is going to carry out a feasibility study on providing a traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing over St. Alban's Road to replace the footbridge, which is unusable for disabled residents and not fit for purpose.

Cllr Tindall said "this is the first step in the right direction, I hope to report more later this year".
