Flytipping - Does Dacorum Need to Clean Up Its Act?

flytipping

This must be one of the most cheeky fly-tipping incidents ever!

It looks as though a tipper truck went slowly down Shootersway Lane, Berkhamsted and tipped out its load of waste as it went.

Local Lib Dem activist and former Berkhamsted Town Mayor, Geraldine Corry, said "This incident not only produced an unsightly mess in one of Berkhamsted's pleasant residential areas, but the road had to be closed for several days whilst a forensic investigation to trace the material was carried out.

"People may have seen recent press reports of court cases where successful prosecutions have resulted in fines, clean up chargesand costs of over £2,000. However, the reported cases were all in Buckinghamshire.

"I would like Dacorum to be equally robust in stamping out this anti-social nuisance."
