Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure - the Nationwide Rollout Continues

EU Funded Electric Charging
Thanks, EU!

The popularity of all-electric vehicles is growing all the time. When visiting Aylesbury last week to sound out the possibilities for upgrading his Nissan Leaf to a new 30 Kilowatt-hour capacity model, Nick Hollinghurst who has been driving an all-electric car since August 2015, was pleasantly surprised.

The Brexit-induced fall in the value of the Pound has been partially off-set by a fall in costs as battery manufacture expands meaning little or no cost increase like-for-like. This has all been helped by an upsurge in demand for all-electric vehicles - and with good manufacturers' offers still around it has meant that a range-enhancing upgrade is affordable.

All these positive trends have also been helped by a massive UK-wide rollout of charging infrastructure. This started last autumn, when the picture was taken. Part-financed by the EU a series of fast charge points, including specialised Tesla chargers, are boosting Britain's electric motoring.

And now, on top of this, London Mayor Sadiq Khan is launching a special boost in London. Meanwhile Tring's Lib Dem county councillor, Nick Hollinghurst, is looking forward to enjoying a 100+ miles useable range

For all-electric motorists, the future's looking bright!
