Car Parks and Skating in Watford This Christmas

3 Dec 2015
Watford

CitiParks are improving the Watford town centre car parks.

While most of the car parking spaces are available (532 at GADE, 442 at CHURCH and 199 at SUTTON), some are out of action temporarily while the upgrades take place. That means that you might have to make use of the other car parks in the town centre including PALACE, KINGS and QUEENS if the others are full.

The good news is that the works are ahead of schedule. GADE will reopen fully next week and CHURCH should be completed by 18 December. SUTTON will have 75% of spaces available by 14 December.

The Mayor hopes that you aren't being too inconvenienced by the refurbishment, and she is confident that everyone will agree that the upgrades will make the car parks cleaner, brighter and nicer to use.

CitiParks are also investing in new ways to pay for parking and automatic number plate recognition to make using the car parks quicker and easier.

So please bear with the situation - it'll be worth it!

AND THE BIG SKATE HAS RETURNED!

The Big Skate is back - and it's bigger and better than last year! On Saturday we had a spectacular grand opening with the Birmingham Ice Freestylers showing us some moves. They did some amazing tricks and routines - if you missed it you can catch the video on youtube.
