Resurfacing of the A41 Tring Bypass, carried out by Ringway on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, will begin on Wednesday 5 March.

The £320,000 scheme to repair the worn-out road surface (between the A4251 London Road junction to the B488 Icknield Way) will be carried out between 8pm and 5am Monday to Friday only, using full road closures. It is expected that the work will take 10 nights to complete. Signed alternative routes will be in place. Further details about the works, including road closures and diversion information, will be available on www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks.

The work is weather dependent and so work may have to continue outside the advertised hours. Any changes to the proposed start date, duration or working hours will be announced on the information boards on site and will be available at www.hertsdirect.org/roadworks

Bus service routes may also be affected by these works - for details of any changes please visit www.intalink.org.uk in the 'service disruptions' section.

County Councillor Nick Hollinghurst (Tring and the Villages) said "This is a major route and the work will of course mean some disruption and inconvenience. I hope everybody will please be patient whilst it is being carried out."
