Hertfordshire Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)

HCC(1)In line with Government advice, all of the county's HWRCs closed on Tuesday, 24th March 2020.
HWRCs are still experiencing attempted visits by residents. Please DO NOT VISIT any HWRCs until further notice.
Keep the items you were planning to take until the centres reopen.
Bin collections are a district and borough council service. Please DO NOT put things like DIY waste or recycling into your kerbside general rubbish collection.
Please don't bring things like cleaning cloths and tissues to your recycling centre.
If you think there's a chance it could be contaminated with coronavirus:
* Tie that waste up in a plastic bag, then double-bag it;
* Store it for at least 72 hours (3 full days and nights).
You can then put it with your normal waste for collection in your black bin if you have one. (Advice from DEFRA)

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE WASTE OUTSIDE HWRCs. This would be fly-tipping and most HWRCs are well covered by security cameras.
